I have had homes in several cities and have used the services of several talented and reputable designers in London, Bethesda, Washington DC, Montreal, but Tatiana Ostanina is in a class of her own. What set her aside was her remarkable ability to understand exactly what I wanted, work with what I already had, and breathe new life into it. I do not believe anyone else could have achieved the vibrant, elegant, and airy ambience she managed to create with my antique furniture. My husband likes simple, clean lines and my 19th century furniture were anything but. Tatiana was able to combine the classic with the contemporary to create an altogether timeless, inspired look. De 2007 à 2009, nous avons bénéficié  des talents de madame Taniana Ostanina lors de la décoration de l’une des belles patrimoniales de Westmount.  Il n’y aura aucune déception.
En 2010-2011, nous avons répété l’expérience dans une nouvelle demeure et avons à nouveau apprécié l’habile sens artistique de madame Ostanina lequel s’appuie, entre autres, sur des connaissances  et une expérience classiques européennes. Ici, on reconnaîtra une signature italienne. Ailleurs, un clin d’œil au Peterhof de sa terre natale. Là, un amalgame réussi incorporant le moderne ou encore une rappel de Gaudi. Belle versatilité.
On aime moins?  Elle explore davantage l’image que le client perçoit du produit fini et ne sera jamais en manque de propositions.
Et bonne nouvelle…la facture est convenable, entre autres parce que madame est en constante recherche d’équivalents aux meilleurs prix.
(Lors de la réalisation des projets, elle fera appel à une troupe de compatriotes. Plusieurs y ajoutent d’ailleurs une touche artistique personnelle.  À les observer, on se félicite d’avoir attiré dans notre métropole le meilleur du pays de Pierre le Grand.)

The house of Tatiana Tchiplaeva,the anchor of Moscow Channel News , is one of top 100 houses built in Moscow between 1987 and 2007.
“Our house was created by our friends, who are spiritually close to us: architect B.Shabunin, who created the concept for the house; architect A.Rosenberg who designed its interior and furniture and landscape designer Tatiana Ostanina, who purposely came from Canada in order to create an orthogonal minimalist garden that strays from Moscow traditionalism. The house was built harmoniously because friends who understood what kind of house we desired created it. We are sure that any qualified professionals would not have been able to satisfy all of our ideas; because in order to obtain an absolute realization of them, the understanding needs to be on a subconscious level.”

Tatiana has a magical way with selecting plants and planting pot. They fill the space and the walls in an elegant, voluminous manner all season!

The garden you have created for us was the last touch we added to this house we love so much. Our house, built in 1895, needed something traditional, a design that would complement its long history. The mix of evergreens we have chosen really enhance the red of the Scottish stone. It is small, but the very dense plantation make it look luxuriant. Now we have eliminated the need for weekly maintenance. No more grass to cut, we just do regular trimming, maybe one or twice a month. We enjoy it very much. Thank you Tatiana.

Tatiana has worked and created two gardens for me. She is very talented and really knows her plants. For both gardens we had issues with limited sun and Tatiana worked hard to create just the right balance of color and texture with her choice of plants. We also installed grass pavers in order to access our garage, a product that Tatiana had researched and has worked well for us. I am very happy with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend Tatiana for anyone interested in creating a backyard oasis.
